To Call of Duty 4 πήρε τρία βραβεία Baftas 2009 (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) στην χθεσινή τελετή video games.
Η έκπληξη – νίκη για την κατηγορία ‘game of the year’ -το μεγαλύτερο βραβείο, ήταν το Super Mario Galaxy.
Μεγαλύτερη έκπληξη ήταν το γεγονός ότι το παιχνίδι με τις μεγαλύτερες πωλήσεις το Grand Theft Auto IV, δεν πήρε κανένα χωρίς βραβείο – παρά το γεγονός ότι ήταν υποψήφιο σε επτά διαφορετικές κατηγορίες.
Το Call of Duty 4 πήρε τα βραβεία Story & Character, Gameplay και το βραβείο κοινού GAME Award 2008.
